I liked the previous Kicking Horse I bought. This one has a bite right at the beginning. The bitterness fades though and it’s pretty rich right after that. Worth a try if you like good coffee.

Perfectly roasted coffee that tastes amazing.

As someone who considers himself a horse manure connoisseur I was very pleased when I opened this bag of coffee, stuck my face into the bag, and inhaled deeply. The earthy, musty scent of horse manure is very forward and unmistakable. This was such an amazing surprise, I became almost giddy. I could not wait to grind and brew a cup in my Chemex coffee pot. And I have to say this coffee does not disappoint! It tastes exactly like it smells and exudes all of the flavor notes one expects when one ingests manure. The only downside I can find is that it does not have the flavor of a fresh manure but more that of a manure that has sat in a pile for several months to a year. But considering I have never had another coffee that tastes so much like manure I don't know that this can really be counted against it. Perhaps stale manure is the only manure flavor that can be imparted to coffee. Either way, I am a huge fan and this will be my go-to blend for life! If you are as much of a horse manure fan as I am then please do not hesitate and get yourself a bag of this wonderful coffee today.

Nice flavor, strength was perfect. I like a darker roast and I liked the one.

We ordered 2 of the large bags and received just what the bag said -- dark roast with chocolate and cocoa taste AND smell. Both bags brewed a smooth, delicious coffee. We ordered 3 more big bags for the next month.What we received was not what the first order was. Sure, the bag was the same but the beans didn't smell like chocolate/cocoa at all. What we brewed was a slightly bitter cup of coffee with NO hint of chocolate like the first batch. What happened? The bags, this time, were vacuum-packed (the first order was not). Expiry was good (Mar 2022). Tried all 3 bags and all are the same -- bitter, no hints of chocolate/cocoa. Wrong coffee packed in the bags? Who knows.Left feedback on the manufacturers site over a week ago, but have not heard anything back.Fortunately, Amazon refunded my money.
