EdenPURE US GEN4 Model US 1000 Portable Electric Space / Room Heater Gen 4

I promised an update....less than one year old (covered by 1 yr MANUFACTURERS warranty) the heater no longer worked. I called the manufacturer's number listed on the Internet for EdenPure heaters and held for 28 minutes before a human answered the phone, they gave me another number to call. I called the other number and they gave me another number (on hold for 10 - 28 minutes at each number). No one took responsibility for the warranty so I called the corp. office and got the same run-a-round. The corp office transferred me directly back to the same customer service number I had already spoken with and after holding another 10 minutes I got the same response. This EdenPure brand and its company has 330 complaints at BBB and hundreds of web postings regarding the various SCAMs OF THE PARENT COMPANY. YOU ARE WARNED, buy this product and be prepared to throw it in the garbage since you will never get it fixed by the SUAREZ company who owns Suarez Corporation Industries in Canton, OH which owns Bio Tech Eng., and Resource Partners and other companies designed to sell direct to the consumer. Suarez Corp. Industries is a SCAM industry and the only reason the Ohio State's attorney general does not close down the company is because Ben Suarez is a huge Republican campaign supporter with 100s of thousands of dollars given to OHIO REPUBLICANS and in fact was indicted and tried for funneling money to Republican candidates through employees of his company. You do not want this product from COSTCO, who sells a version of the EdePure. It does not matter who you buy it from you will not get it fixed under the MANUFACTURERS warranty when it breaks down within the first year of ownership.....and IT WILL BREAKDOWN!!!! I purchased one through an Amazon retailer and I bought one at Costco....BOTH BROKE DOWN BEFORE THE 1ST YEAR WAS UP!!!! LEAVES YOU COLD IN A LOT OF WAYS.

ended up having to buy new heating elements 30 dollars each so keep your recites etc. because its a great heater and has a great warranty btw there are 3 elements and i broke 2 while moving. Jan and i had one in Maine under the kitchen table in an old house with little insulation and it was amazing this is my second one-first one is still going strong-so the first one we got in maybe 1999 second one around 2012 i think the first one was better but it was in a smaller room anyway i like it and the heat is almost like a wood fire type heat-very nice

Isn't as inexpensive to run as advertised, but a nice warm constant heat. The only thing I don't like is the fact that if left on at a high heat it pulls so much electricity that it caught the plug-in on fire. I would recommend what my electrician calls a dedicated plug, which is about $500, which makes it a very expensive heat source. I did like the heater enough to buy another one after the first one caught fire, however it is now keep on low, and only when there is someone to supervise.

I BOUGHT THE SAME HEATER BOUT 4 YRS AGO AND IT SERVED ME WELL TILL MY DAUGHTER NEEDED ONE SO I GAVE HER MINE AND ORDERED ANOTHER FOR ME JUST LIKE IT. IT HEATS GOOD BUT AFTER THE FIRST 3 OR 4 WEEKS IT HAS GOTTEN VERY NOISY.. THE FAN SOUNDS LIKE IT MIGHT HAVE BAD BEARINGS OR SOMETHING. I'M GOING TO CALL THEM IF I CAN FIGURE HOW AND SEE WHATS DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST AND SEE IF I NEED TO OIL SOMETHING. MY OLD ONE IS STILL WORKING GOOD FOR MY DAUGHTER. SEEMS TO ME LIKE SOMETHING INSIDE HAS CHANGED..SINCE WRITING THIS REVIEW MY FAN HAS STARTED MAKING TERRIBLE SQUEELING NOISES.. IT CANNOT BE USED,, SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GOING TO FLY APART.. DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT EDENPURE.. NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HASSLE OF PACKING IT UP AND SHIPPING IT AND WAITING TO GET IT BACK.. I WILL WRITE MORE AFTER PROCESS AND TELL IF IT WAS EASY OR HARD... TOM

We ordered this unit hoping to use less heating fuel and specifically wanted this model as it was the newest. As advertised, it should have kept our main living area comfortably warm. It did an okay job with that but after a couple of weeks I noticed it was a little noisy. Now it is so loud that I won't be in the same room with it. It sounds like the fan bearings have failed. Yesterday I requested a Return Authorization but have not heard back yet. So, we are back in the hunt for a way to stay reasonably warm without needing a loan on the house. Hopefully, EdenPure will authorize a return but if not, off to the dump it goes. Too bad, it's a good idea.

We bought our Gen 4 EdenPure for two reasons: 1. Our downstairs, where our bedrooms and main bath are, are basically unheated, so we needed something to take the chill off down there. I am confident that the heater could heat the entire downstairs, but we both like it cool where we sleep. 2. The Gen4 was the only heater made in America. The extra price is worth spending money here rather than China.It works well, quietly going about its business. We both know that we would have made this purchase again, no buyer's remorse here.

This portable heater works well; however, we didn't realize there wasn't a temperature control on the unit. A large living room area can be heated in a few hours and a bedroom can be heated in about 30 minutes. So far, this has been a good purchase.

This was worth the price and not what I read in the reviews, There was a little smell on start up and it went away, It keeps the rooms very warm and have not had one problem with it will buy a second one next year. Very quite and heat s rooms fast.Was quick shipping before the cold weather hit.
