Works very well...
Small, easy to find bag room for it. Folds down when not in use for those days when you only occasionally need it. Very light. No batteries required! Communicates with the camera and does a good job optimizing shots. Seems strong enough for smaller indoor use. Doesn't break the bank either.

Epitome of convenience: small & no batteries required
I love the Fujifilm EF-X8 flash. The size means you can take it anywhere. It’s small; about the same size as the Fujifilm battery.No batteries required means it’s always ready to go as long as the camera has battery. Good for your pockets and for the environment. Just flip it up and it’s ready to go..But I think what I appreciate most is that I can control the flash intensity thru my camera’s menus (X-Pro3 and X-T3). I can go full manual (1/1 - 1/64) or TTL w/compensation.Combine this with front and rear curtain sync and the relatively cheap price for a photography accessory, and what you have is a big surprise in a small package.I tried uploading 2 pictures. One without the flash and one with the flash activated. I try to balance the flash with ambient light so that it’s effect isn’t overpowering.

Worked PERFECTLY for my XE4. So happy to finally have a flash for my camera! It’s so compact and will be perfect when traveling.

Perfect Fill-Flash!
One came with my Fuji X-H1 body, and when I bought a second body (used), I bought this to use on it. Great fill-flash, on-axis it's a tiny gem!

Small ad handy.
This small strobe is about the output of most built-in strobes, works well as a substitute if your camera doesn't have one. Also handy to have when shooting available light and once in a while need a kicker - just flip it up, shoot , push it down - a light lighter than using a full size strobe and no batteries t fool with.

Tiny but WEAK!
This flash is small and does not require additional batteries, but the guide number is very low and does not support high-speed flash sync. Considering its price, I would not recommend it. If you are looking for an excellent multi-purpose flash, check out the EF-60 (I currently use this).
