Great game
Great fun, good game, not too complicated & can be played with mixed ages. Can't believe we've only just found this game!

Very enjoyable game
Really good. Very enjoyable for all ages 6+. Needs a table space to play on. Not too drawn out and ideal for a 1/2 hour entertainment. Very sturdy tiles. Being a bit colour blind, in poor light I struggle a bit with the difference between the blue and purple and orange and red tiles. I believe there is a colour blind version.

Cubetastic!
Quality wooden cubes with a gloss finish and hugely tactile. A sturdy cardboard box with a gloss finish and quality cloth, drawstring bag. Easy to follow instruction booklet and a really lovely game played by two to four players. Game duration 30 - 60 minutes with the first player to finish gaining a six point bonus.Instruction synopsis taken from the instruction booklet..."OBJECT ~ Strategically use your cubes to build lines of colour and lines of shape. Score points for each cube in a line that you create or expand.""SET UP ~ You will need pencil and paper to keep score. Place all the cubes in the bag. Each player draws six cubes and rolls them to create their hand. Everyone plays open-handed with all of their cubes showing at all times.""HOW TO PLAY On your turn ~1. Choose which cubes to re-roll, if any and roll.2. Add cubes to the grid. All of the cubes you play must share a single attribute, either colour or shape. Your cubes must be added to the same line but they do not have to touch one another.3. Record your score.4. Draw cubes to bring your hand up to six. Roll these new cubes and add them to your hand. If you are unable to play you must re-roll all of your cubes until you can play.""You score an additional six- points bonus whenever you complete a line of six cubes- this is called a Qwirkle. A Qwirkle is worth twelve points- one point for each of the six cubes and six points for the bonus."For increased possibilities/more players, a second box may be useful. These cubes are also enjoyed by my pre schooler. They help with shape and colour recognition, matching, sorting, simple cube dominoes, building, sets and counting. Superb for fine motor skills with hand eye co ordination too. It's great building tall towers then knocking them over using party blow-outs; kazoo that unfurls when filled with blown out air and curls back up again. This is brilliant for enjoyable breath control exercises too. The box states not suitable for under three's due to the small cubes. Obviously this depends on the individual.Cubes ( 90 )~ approx 2 cm squared.Box approx ~ 12 cm squared.A most satisfying purchase, we find Qwirkle Cubes to be a superb multifunctional game.

Great game!
I like the game , easy to learn, after a days walking, skiing or cycling it is easy to play without using too many brain cells but uses enough of the mind to keep it interesting. Small and easy to travel with.My only niggle is that in certain light the colours are hard to define, e.g orange and red look too similar.I prefer muted lighting but you need full on light for this game
