I wish I had bought these sooner!
Since the early days of my career in radio, I've always used Sony MDR-7506s. It's the industry standard for good reason. I put these to use daily, and they suffered a bit of abuse on occasion, but they always performed extremely well. When the earpads on my first pair of cans started to crumble away, I was sad to have to retire them after 12 years of service. (This was back in 2003 and getting new earpads wasn't as simple as ordering from an online shop.) I ended up buying a new pair of 7506 headphones.Since then, I retired from radio and started my own full-time voice over business. Doing VO doesn't cause as much wear and tear on my headphones, so the earpads on the new set have held up for about 19 years. However, when they started to flake and leave little bits of black all over the place, I decided to see if I could find a fix. There were a lot of brands out there so the reviews really drove my decision to purchase these. I also loved the color options. Torn between a classic look or something more unique, I opted for the blue pads to compliment the label on the side of my headphones.I had never replaced earpads before and had heard different reviews on the difficulty and effort involved. I was expecting the worst, but after watching a YouTube video, I was surprised at how simple it was. After removing the old earpads, I put a new earpad over the entire cup of the headphones and then gently used a butter knife to guide and tuck the outer elastic edge back into the groove - little by little. Once I got the hang of it, the job went pretty fast. I had both of them on in under 10 minutes and they fit perfectly.I've had these for several weeks now and I can say they've held up well so far. I love the color! It really makes them pop and look distinctive. Even more, I'm amazed at how comfortable these are! They are easily better than the original Sony earpads. They seem to cup the ear better and, as a result, I've noticed a big difference in sound quality. Also, though they're not meant to be noise canceling, they do a great job of blocking out external sound.I'm really happy with these earpads and am so excited to be able to continue using my 7506s! I'm going to try to find my original 7506s and buy a pair of these earpads in red so I can bring those headphones back to life, too!

Good comfort, better looks, and improved sound from Sony 7506
I initially bought these replacement ear cups because I wanted a more comfortable and substantial ear pad on my trusty Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I use the 7506s at work 5-6 hours per day, because of their closed back, lightweight and low sound leakage. I was looking for a more comfortable ear cup. These were pretty easy to install, and right away they make the Sony's look like nicer headphones owing to their high material quality. I really like the look and feel of the perforated PU leather. Time will tell as to durability, but it has got to be at least as good as the OEM pads, which feel cheap and do fall apart after a year or two.Comfort is improved over stock pads, but only slightly. They are thicker than stock, so clamping force on the head is slightly higher. They also do get a bit warmer on the ears than the stock pads. But the plush memory foam makes up for those effects with good ear feel and also is very glasses-friendly.Here's the unexpected part: a noticeable improvement in sound quality with these installed! The changes were not even that subtle, tbh. What happened? The soundstage got wider, the imaging sharpened up, the midrange came more forward, and the bass got punchier.I really wasn't expecting this, but it makes sense when you consider that the earcups are the "room" in which the drivers are playing to your ears. Anyway, whatever these pads are doing acoustically, it changes the response of the headphone for the better.I would warn people who are producing and mixing with these that the earcups will change the tonal balance to a less flat profile. The trade-off is improved soundstaging (wider) and imaging (crisper). The bass is punchier and goes super low now but also is more boomy than before (less flat).I am pleasantly surprised, because for twenty bucks or so, I've not only upgraded the looks and comfort, but the performance of the 7506 improved as well! Money well spent.

Great replacement set! Comfy, breathable & durable. Pleather flakes @ 40ish months
I bought a set of these back on May 2020 to replace the original pads in my MDR-7506 headset. From what I remember, the original pads had gotten a bit uncomfortable and my ears would get very warm in them so I started looking for alternatives and found these. I purchased the perforated version (back when black was the only color, lol) to help with the warming issue, and they were also rated to provide additional cushioning & comfort - luckily these pads successfully dealt with both of the issues I had with the original pads! . These BRAINWAVZ pads have maintained their cushioning very well for the past 3 years and I can still wear them for extended periods of time (3-5 hours) without much issue!Unfortunately, I am going to have to replace these pads now. Their level of comfort has held up quite well, but unfortunately the PU leather on them has begun to flake off. If you're ok using these at home and/or don't mind the flakes, I'm positive you could still get several months (possibly another year, maybe more!) of use out of them. However, I use these at work and the flakes have become a bit of a nuisance as I end up with lil black specs of pleather on my shoulders (lol), and in my general work space.Overall, I have been very happy with these replacement pads! They're comfy, breathable and have held up pretty well - except for the flaking pleather after 3+ years of use that is, lol. I'm going to check out some other options to see if I find something a bit more durable as far as the pleather goes, but if not, I will definitely be buying these again!NOTE on Noise Cancellation: They're okay as far as noise cancelling goes; conversations are muffled while music is playing - like most closed-back headphones. Without music playing, you can make out conversations pretty well. I don't believe they were designed for NC though so if that's what you're looking for with these you will more than likely be disappointed .

Replace your Sony MDR-7506 pads RIGHT NOW
I can't recommend these enough. The difference between these and the default ones for my headphones (MDR-7506) is night and day.I bought my pair second hand, so the pads were already tearing, but I finally decided to was time to replace them. When I saw the 30 dollar price tag I almost passed up on these, but the Teal colour was what sold me.I never expected them to be this comfortable or this easy to install. If you have the extra cash to get these they will 100% be a noticeable difference in comfort and quality. Since the synthetic leather on these are pretty durable and stretch a good amount it was easier for me to install these than the videos on YouTube had me expecting. If you wear your headphones a lot this purchase is honestly a no-brainer. I probably sound like a bot with how much I'm praising these, but they legit made my weekend.*PS* The teal is so vibrant and beautiful that I cant imagine buying the other colours for the same price.

Great price and quality
I bought these to replace original Sony ear pads on my MDR V6 and my MDR 7506 (which always fall apart!) and look MUCH better quality than the original Sony ones. Very comfy and easy to fit. Turn inside out first then snap back over the headphones. once in place pull the skirt of the ear pad carefully till it snaps down into the groove. I then used a guitar plectrum to make sure the skirt was full pressed into the groove all round. I also bought the real leather version of these which were also brilliant (even more comfy but a tad more expensive - worth it though).

Excelentes!
