Color & Learn Easy Italian Phrases for Kids (Dover Little Activity Books: Language)

I guess I should have read the description more carefully. I usually LOVE Dover coloring books and based on the $1.99 price and the sample images I assumed this book would be the same high quality I have come to expect from Dover. The images themselves and the selection of Spanish phrases are indeed high quality, but the size and binding of the book is NOT kid-friendly. The book itself is tiny: 4 1/8 inches by 5 5/8 inches. The 62 pages are glued in, rather than stapled, so the book will never lie flat. A small child would find this book impossible to color in with crayons. A very diligent adult might be able to hold the book open with one hand and use their free hand to color in the pictures with pencils, but it would not be fun and this book is obviously not intended for adults.For those who want to know the exact phrases and words included, here is a nearly complete list:Buenos días. I am 100% italian and I bought this little book mostly to get inspired for teaching Italian to kids. Well sorry to say but this little books contains grammar mistakes. Noce-noci is a feminine word so the article isn’t i noci but instead is LE NOCI so allergico ALLE NOCI. Yogurt is a word that starts with a Y so the indefinite article cannot be UN yogurt but it’s instead UNO YOGURT. All the months need to be written with Capital letter and not just some of them. “È delizioso. vorrei un po’ di più “ the correct italian is:” È delizioso. NE vorrei un po’ di più “. SANDAL is unfinished because sandals in italian is SANDALI.I hope the company is able to read this review because they need to correct this little book.

It's cute. It has decently useful Spanish phrases, but without an adult to go through and tell the translation word for word the kids won't learn the individual words. That means that let's go to the park can't be adapted to let's go to the pool easily without assistance because there's no breakdown. Also a child young enough to want these phrases and color this book will probably have trouble making sense of the pronunciation guide. It's a cute little thing for fun or an addition for a child already learning Spanish. It is not a good starting point for introducing your child to the idea of learning Spanish as it can make the language seem like a daunting task. It is well worth the $2 price tag and good for us because we already had some basic Spanish to start working with.

Pocket size, easy to learn Spanish phrases book for kids or beginning Spanish students/learners.Can easily fit in a purse or backpack for on-the-go use. Coloring pages weren't what I was expecting which is why I gave it 4 stars, otherwise I found it helpful to teach my kids easy Spanish phrases.

This book is about 1/2 normal size. The pictures are cute, the pronouncing guide good, but the pages won't lay open very easy. A kid would have to press the spine down to be able to color in it, plus have more mature dexterity to be able to color that small. Coloring books are almost always the size of a full sheet of paper or larger. It never occurred to me to check the size.

This book was designated by my daughter's Spanish teacher. While I appreciate the fast shipping, this is really a very small book as an activity book. Page size is only about 1/4 of a regular sized activity book, not friendly for little kids to work on with. I really hope they could have a bigger size option available, even with fewer pages.

It’s a great little book for kids to learn basic phrases, colors, days of the week, months, etc. in Spanish. Both my 4yo and 2 yo like reading it with me. The smaller size is not a problem at all. It’s not too small. Great value for the price.

If you are trying to learn Spanish, this little book is a must have. Age category shouldn't be the issue for this book. Just start as basically as possible just as all newborn baby does.

wow - these are so great!!!I have bought 2 of these ... one for my 7 year old ... she is able to sound out the phonics and give the words a good bash - when she feels so inclined. Think it will be great when we go to Italy next month.The other one is for my 4 year old - no, she cant read the words ... but she has coloured in the first 5 pages and is very engaged with saying the words out loud and asking me what the pages say.Its a great refresher for me ... been about 15 years since I spoke Italian (well enough to get by when I worked there for several months).So for the amazing price this is a brilliant product ... and would be for twice the price ... though perhaps I would have only bought one then and made my girls share!?

Hi there .. THis book is absolutley perfect for the child it was bought for.. It is a simple book that any child would love if going to spain and can pick up the basics in a fun way and learn while they do..excellent service came the next day after ordering .. i would buy from this company again.. thankyou for a liovely service

These books are smaller than I expected (but my own fault for not reading description properly). They are a pocket size book. However, they are ideal for travel. The girls loved them - good alternative for practising spanish.

Lovely little book. Bought these as prizes for primary age children for completing an Italian project/quiz. Great little gift for the price - very small but well received by children.

You need a microscope to be able to see this, let alone colour it in. I was expecting an A4 type book, this is about A6, no joke. Waste of money.
