It's okay, with limitations.
#1 -- despite being 'waterproof' and indicating that this handle floats somewhere in the Q&A or description, it doesn't. Not at all. So if you're looking for a handle to use in water where risk of dropping the camera is high and where you can't see/get to the bottom, keep looking. Also, the lanyard/wrist strap attachment is VERY weak. It broke the first or second day. However, it is easy enough to put the lanyard itself through the eyelet on the handle, and the problem is solved. The lanyard material is strong, as is the base of the handle (at least, strong enough). If I had it to do over again, I would probably separate the original lanyard mounting thread, and just put it through the eyelet before it broke, to avoid the concern. This handle is also very short -- less than 18 inches at full extension. This is consistent with the listing as of when I received it, but does not match the packaging. It seems pretty strong, it telescopes and retracts reasonably smoothly and easily, and holds the camera securely.

Will not keep your GoPro from sinking but an otherwise good product.
I purchased this stick for my daughters new Hero GoPro. It works perfect, connects perfect and extends perfectly. I purchased it because 1. I needed an extended handle and 2. I needed it to float. On the website it does say it extends 6.919.3 inches however the box states 18-36". The website information is accurate. The title states the stick is "waterproof" which is accurate however, the details stated "keeps your GoPro from sinking" that is not accurate. When letting go of the stick with the GoPro on it, the GoPro and the stick sink right to the bottom. It does have a nice "twist and lock" design for the extension handle which is quick and easy to use. The end of the stick is adjustable and that's convenient. With just a few misconceptions between the box and the details on the listing it is a nice feature for the GoPro. I would recommend it as long as those incorrect details are known by the purchaser as they may be determining factors to the purchase. Great little hand grip
Great little hand grip. my only complaint is that the rubber sleeve doesn't completely cover the metal bar, which means the rubber sleeve shifts up and down. If you intend to use this in salt water, be sure to rinse thoroughly under clean water and dry thoroughly as well to prevent rust. Also, as others have mentioned, I highly recommend attaching the wrist strap directly to the bottom clip, as opposed to using the tiny string that it comes with.

I would buy it again
Great selfie stick. My daughter and I used it in Cancun to video and take pictures of us swimming with Whale sharks and diving. It worked as advertised. This is a pic of my daughter swimming with the whale shark taken on the hand grip

Great quality but it sinks...
Great quality, nice extension and heavy duty. Only problem is that it does NOT float! Filled with water and sinks within less than a minute in the water. Overall good quality tho and fits the gopro well.

It seemed very hard and sturdy when I got it
DO NOT BUY. It seemed very hard and sturdy when I got it. the coloring is nice look to it. Here is why I give it two stars, the part where you place the go pro broke after a month. Making it no longer usable. Waste of money. And it will not let me return it. DO NOT BUY

Problems with strap material
I liked the product, but the material of the strap did not allow for a tight snug fit on my wrist. The material is stretchable and that factor combined with water caused the strap to come off my wrist and sink to the bottom of a pond i was jumping into. This caused me to lose my new GoPro.

Held my GoPro tightly. The wrist strap did break ...
Held my GoPro tightly. The wrist strap did break free when I was tightening it however it was a simple fix and is now even stronger.
