Does not function. I paid big bucks for a car installation at a local video shop using this component. However, since this cheap box didn't work right out of the box, I need to find another one (different brand) and pay again for disassembly of the dash and replacement. Amazon reviews suggest a high rate of failure for this product. I'll remember this brand and never order anything made by them.EPILOGUE: After my scathing review of this product, a company representative contacted me to make things right. They refunded my purchase price and replaced the defective unit with a good one. I had it installed and it works well. I am very pleased that the company took the time and effort to compensate for their defective unit. Manufacturing can't always be perfect but a good response to problems can make up for it. I am changing my rating to a 5 star just because of their concern for their customers. Good job!

The product is constructed so cheeply I was able to open it with no tools trying to find out why it didn't work. The manual is poorly translated and overtly incorrect. The PAL/NTSC labels for the switch are printed backwards. There's marketed inconsistency with the product across different models and /supposedly/ by different companies. The product didn't work with ANY combination of cords/inputs/outputs/settings at all. I've tried everything. It gets concerningly hot and made odd noises when plugged in. If you really want to gamble it, you can try. My friend has a barely working version, but I would really recommend trying to find one with higher quality.

Every time I've owned one of these, it was because the seller accidentally uploaded a picture that was different than the title. Read the title carefully before buying! Are you going from HDMI to RCA or RCA to HDMI? These do not work backwards!Pros: very cheapCons: Runs hot, does not last long, picture quality is ok (not amazing).

So the company replaced my device free of charge so I an test it out again.To be honest, the ones that cost twice as more do you give you a nice signal with no grain to it and solid signal quality.This device has solid signal quality with a bit more grain/ noise to the picture. However, it is cheaper and does a solid job.The key is to power your streaming device as well as this unit to get the maximum output.Overall, for the price the item works as advertised.Great Customer Service as well.

My step son wanted to buy a new TV because his HDMI port went out. I told him to get one of these but he would rather buy a new TV. So he bought a new TV for $120 and I got this for $17 and put his old TV in my room. The quality certainly isn't as good as HDMI but it works fine for my less than picky taste. I'm using it with my Xbox 360.

Bought this to convert HDMI Firestick to Composite Red, White, And Yellow. It worked fine for the first few times but got extremely hot. It caused my Firestick to turn itself off because it was overheated (didn't even know the Firestick could do that). Would not recommend.

I just recieved this product. was hoping for the best. Long story short it doesn't work on my ps4 it flicks in (blk screen thinking its going to work) to flicking out (color strips) I hooked it up to my laptop, The quality is bad, but I didn't buy it for that got it for my ps4. This is my 2nd attempt btw.. hopefully 3rd is the charm? Gotta get ready to return this tomorrow :-(P.S : Who knows I just got a bad one or just no luck. I seen such a high review so i ordered it. Buy at your own risk, maybe you will get lucky.

I purchased a 4K Blu-ray player, which connects fine through HDMI to my 4K TV. However, I have an older home theater system that does not have a HDMI input. This device works perfectly and the sound is great through my home theater system.
