DOES NOT REPLACE VW Part# 7L0-407-271-F
Just took this part into my mechanic to have it put on my VW, for which the comments say that it is a match to replace OEM Part 7L0-407-271-F. Not only is it too short, unless he overextends the axle all the way which eliminates the function in the suspension of allowing the tire to drop when on uneven terrain. But even if it were long enough the flange & bolt pattern don't match up to install on the car. Unfortunately I've discovered that I'm outside of the return or exchange window, and am stuck with a part that doesn't fit my car.
