Finally—A Dishwasher Detergent I Don’t Feel Guilty Using on Baby Items!
The media could not be loaded. So we got the Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent to try it out—and let me just say, it is bougie. It comes with a little wooden spoon (so cute!), and the whole vibe feels elevated compared to your average detergent. But of course, packaging means nothing if it doesn’t actually work—so we tested it out on two full sets of Dr. Brown’s baby bottle parts: one rinsed, one un-rinsed.See the video for more details :)PROS:• Amazing for baby bottles – Left no greasy residue, even on un-rinsed parts (*except nipples, which required some extra scrubbing afterwards, but I think that has more to do with the positioning of the nipples in the dishwasher vs the soap)• Super effective – Cleaned everything in the load, even stuck-on food• Non-toxic & fragrance-free – No harsh chemical smell or residue• Eco-conscious – Comes in recyclable cardboard with a wooden scoop• Optimized for quick wash cycles – Saves time without sacrificing cleanliness• Modern, enzyme-powered formula – Biobased ingredients that actually work• Guilt-free cleaning – No parabens, no bleach, no petroleum-based anythingCONS:• Scoop takes getting used to – You measure manually, which may be new if you’re used to pods or tabs. I imagine manual scooping will probably yield less than the stated 48 loads since it’s impossible to scoop a consistent amount each time.• Pricier than conventional brands – But honestly, worth it for the safety and performanceDirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent completely exceeded our expectations. It cleaned both rinsed and un-rinsed baby bottles flawlessly, left no chemical residue, and made us feel totally confident about what we’re using to wash the things that go in our baby’s mouth. It’s gentle, effective, and made with truly thoughtful ingredients. If you're a parent—or just someone looking to ditch harsh chemicals—this one's worth the switch.

Works as well as traditional detergents!
Great product! I have been switching some of my products to less toxic alternatives and this is one of the best switches I have made. It cleans just as good as traditional detergents. Easy to use little scoop, and dishes come out clean with no residue. I am a do not rinse before loading the dishwasher and they still come out clean! I also think it lasts a while for the amount you get making the price reasonable. So often I find the low tox options to just not hold up in performance but I dont have that issue with this product at all.

The cleanest dishwasher detergent I have ever found eco conscious too.
I am very particular about the toxicity of the products I use. I have been using 'non toxic' home products for years but recently found out that even most of them have ingredients that can cause gut issues. This product does not contain those ingredients, and is effective. I am a bit obsessive about not putting food encrusted dishes in my dishwasher, and I have a water softener, I don't use a rinse agent other than the occasional splash of white vinegar. I am very happy to have found this product and hope they don't change their ingredients. I am surprised to see so many uses out of it, but with soft water, less is needed. In my household of three where both mom and dad like to cook and bake a good bit, it has lasted me over a month of almost daily dishwashing loads. I also deep clean my dishwasher monthly. I like that it comes packaged in a plastic free, paperboard container and has a nice wooden scoop. I would love to see a refill option without the scoop and with just a paper bag but this is pretty eco conscious nonetheless. I highly recommend this product to the health conscious consumer.

Best I've tried
I have been using plant based dishwasher detergents for several years now, struggling with different issues: Not cleaning well enough, spotty dishes, residue, etc. Dirty Labs is working really well for me. I just purchased my second container, and wanted to write a review once I finished up my first. Due to the toxic chemicals in commercial dishwasher detergents and rinsing agents, I was determined to find a way to get my dishes clean without a filmy residue and without spots. Since using this detergent (a little over a month now) I have not added Jet Dry or any other rinse agent to my dishwasher; and my dishes, including my crystal wine glasses, are squeaky clean. One note I thought I'd share is that the scented detergent left a bit of a "taste" on my coffee mugs (I stopped using Cascade decades ago due to the same issue). This time I went with the fragrance free option, so I don't anticipate having to deal with that. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it is more expensive than other brands. In my case, it's worth the extra cost.

Excellent product!
This stuff works great!! only takes a very small amount to clean a load of dirty dishes...I don't even pre-rinse! I love knowing that this doesn't have any harmful toxic ingredients and love that it doesn't leave a perfumey odor on my dishes!

Impressive results!
Excellent product. I have well water that is pretty hard. I have been using a different natural brand for awhile now but the company recently sold to another company and I found it hasn't been working as well as it once was so I was looking for a new product. I hate pods and wanted powder only. I took a chance with this product and love it so far. I used only one scoop for a packed dishwasher and I also use the energy saver drying setting (which with lesser products can cause some spotting on my dishes once dried) and they came out clean and sparkling! No spots and no stuck on food that got missed. It works great and I am happy I found it, although it is a bit pricey. Hopefully they don't sell out too and another company changes the formula. I will continue to buy until then!
