Better Than The Gym!
I'm not really one to write reviews for things, but I feel as though these workouts deserve recognition. My first experience with The Firm was a few years ago when I decided to buy and try the Transfirmer series of workouts. I wasn't necessarily a beginner at that time, but man..those workouts kicked my butt! I then ordered the previous body sculpting series videos to rotate to avoid boredom. I had great success with them but for whatever reason, I ended up joining a local gym and the The Firm videos/step began collecting dust. Fast forward to present, a husband and almost 2 year old daughter later, I decided I needed something that worked for me at home bc trying to coordinate a toddler to your desired gym schedule isn't necessarily the easiest task (not to mention wasting so much gas). It dawned on me to re-order some of The Firm workouts, new and older DVDs; no more driving 30 minutes to the gym for me! Let me tell you, as someone who is by no means a beginner when it comes to fitness, these workouts are no joke. I got a better workout with these DVDs than I did at any class or time on the treadmill/elliptical. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants to get in shape and get there FAST. I can tell a change in my body already-they promise results in 10 workouts, but you'll see it before then. Trust me. What's also great is that you can make them as easy or as challenging as you desire-increase or decrease your weight. Either way, you'll get a great workout!

Doesn’t work with regular step platform
It’s frustrating that I don’t have this specific step platform. She keeps moving the legs and putting it at an angle and I tried with the step platform I have but it was annoying and didn’t work well.

Great Workout, even for The Firm novices
I had never tried any Firm products, so this is the first product I tried. I checked it out from the library, and it quickly became my favorite. This video has a ton of variety (each segment lasts about 5 minutes) and at the end of the 40/45 minute workout my entire body was worked. I am not a natural on the step and found the cueing to be very good. They have a separate person that shows the beginner modifications, and I also found that after a month I just used my step at full height and the heavier weights. The only two negatives (and these are very minor) is that each time you start the workout, you have to listen to an intro about wanting better and more shapely thighs... I wish they would just let us press a button and go straight to the start of the workout. The second minor complaint is that they use the heavy weights for areas that you may want to use a lighter weight. I use the 5 lbs and 8 lbs and quickly lower my weights depending on the exercises. I think that with the exception of shoulders, they recommend the heavier weights.

Good Workout - Barely Audible
Love the workout but the audio compilation is bad, the music is too loud and the instructor is barely audible.A 48-minute workout that will get your heart rate up and your muscles completely pumped! Alternating between floor aerobics, step aerobics, high-step, and inclined step sections; includes some single muscle-group work but mostly multiple muscle-group work. Lots of variation of steps but not difficult so minimal cuing is not an issue.Equipment needed; Incline step, 2 sets of weights, and an exercise mat.

Effective and comprehensive yet easy-to-follow and energizing.
This is my favorite DVD of the Firm's third Body Sculpting system. I say this because I feel I get an outstanding overall workout WITHOUT the frustration of having to learn a more complicated routine. A previous reviewer had stated: "Some of the footwork in The Firm videos using the step are complicated to the point of ridiculousness". This is certainly true of Firm: Total Muscle Shaping but cannot be said of The Firm - Complete Body Sculpting . For one thing, Christa leaves out those confusing "turn steps" on the step that Stephanie includes in her program. Complete Body Sculpting offers a no nonsense, straightforward program as advertised "to reshape your entire body, specifically targeting the areas most women want to change--the backs of your thighs, hips and fanny!" Not only that but highly effective exercises for the abdominals, gluteals, biceps and triceps are also included.A previous reviewer described the instructor on this video (Christa Riley) as being "pleasant but bland". I would disagree with that. In fact I find Riley refreshingly on point. Although I do like Walk Away the Pounds instructor Leslie Sansone, some have described her as being too chatty and scattered. This cannot be said about Riley who continues to instruct both beginner and advanced exerciser without distraction. So for those individuals who prefer Riley's type of instruction she cannot be beat. There is also no problem using a regular step or the Transfirmer from another Firm series instead of the Firm Box. For some the Firm Box proved to be a disappointment when it had a tendency to not be as stable as a regular step even to the point of collapsing mid routine. Additionally you will need to have a set of free weights anything from 3 to 8 lbs or more. This is a great interval training tape combining both strength training and aerobics. I would highly recommend it for both beginning and advanced exerciser alike.

Excellent total body work out
This is an excellent DVD. Some Firm work outs are mixtures of old and new, but this one is completely new. Christa is very thin and every single one of her muscles shows when she is exercising - I find that to be a great motivator. I have been using this tape for 3 months - 2 months exclusively (no other tapes) and I have loved it. It's an easy tape to modify to make the work out harder as you get stronger - because you lift weights, and can make the weights heavier. Plus, I started using light weights in the sections where there are none called for. I also left the bench at 14" when they said to put it at 6". These are easy ways to keep challenging yourself. Great tape to get in shape for a wedding dress!!! Highly recommended!!! There are no dance - aerobics type steps in this tape - I hate those!!! This is hard core weights and work out.

The Firm:Body sculpting system 3: complete body sculpting
I am a fan of The Firm and have many of their workouts, this one I did not care for very much. It was fine in some instances and in others I felt they relied too much on their exercise box, which I do not have. I managed to do the exercises on a regular arobic step. I would recommended for those who enjoy arobics on a step

Unique Incline Firmbox no longer available.
The workout may be OK but you can no longer get the incline Firmbox, which makes the purchase pointless. The Firm has been bought out and I cannot find anyway anywhere to purchase the incline step aerobic box, meaning I have to modify the workout to suit the box I currently have. This makes it a pain and no better than what I already have. I have searched the internet, contacted through FB and tried the 1-800 # and the direct website outlined in the feature ad pamphlet included in the DVD...all to no avail. There is no reply.
