Miles is the BETTER spider-man.
Miles Morales at his best.

Spider-Man – the soap opera
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Vol. 2 collects issues #6-11 of the rebooted Ultimate Spider-Man series (Miles and his supporting cast have been relocated to the regular Marvel universe – see Secret Wars for the details). This volume ties in rather heavily with Civil War II , though you can still read this volume without having read the main Civil War title, as we are filled in on what is relevant to this one as we go along (the deaths or otherwise of three of the surviving original Avengers; and bearing in mind what is happening in Captain America at the moment, that vision might still be relevant, come the revolution). This volume is also rather heavy on character interaction with the regular supporting cast, both costumed and ‘civilian’; not quite as heavy as the Iron Man Civil War volume, by the same author, which is almost entirely filled with people standing around and talking. Here. At least, there are little action vignettes, though with conversations running through them, as well as Assemblies. This is not a bad thing, however, at least for me. When I was very young, and Marvel Comics were even younger, it was Stan Lee and Roy Thomas’s character interaction scenes which made Marvel different from DC, and I always preferred more rather than less. Here, it still works for me, and I am reminded a lot of the early Spider-Man comics, though Miles has a lot more people he can talk to about his problems, though here it is more a matter of other people trying to talk to him about them. The regular problems are also still here, and he gets a visit from Jessica Jones and Luke Cage to give him a heads-up on what he needs to do to sort out his family life, which in turn leads into the final issue of the collection, which is this universe’s “Jefferson Davis – Agent of SHIELD).This might not be an all-out action issue, but it kept me reading all the way through; and the artwork is excellent too (though as it is Mr Bendis writing, I’m sure he was given first pick of the available talent).

Awesome!
Awesome! Good job! Spider-Man Miles Morales is great! It's a surpise but it's fresh and funny. It hits all the right notes. I like it much better than Spider Island or Spider Verse Series.
