Pewter Base or Pewter Initial Seal... ??
OK, so I think I made the wrong choice...I spent ages deciding between a whisky glass with a nice Celtic design heavy pewter base glass and one with an Initial Letter Pewter Seal as an Xmas present.I opted for the more expensive (£30) Celtic base one, but after receiving it I realised that it isn't that practical as a regular drinking glass... it is very heavy when empty, and doesn't look as if it will stay pristine on use. Pewter is a soft 'lead like' metal, and I feel the rim on the base will quickly dent when you put the glass down, and with it not being easy to clean, I wish I had gone for the simpler but still stylish letter seal design. I've kept it though, as too late to get an alternative, but I think it will be more of a cupboard ornament rather than his 'go-to' favorite glass.

High quality
The glass is of very good quality, you can see that it is handmade. You can't buy this in any store! I recommend!

Poor quality
The pewter base fell off as soon as I took it out the box.

Fell apart when washed :(
Would have been a five star review.Bought as a Christmas present for my boyfriend who loved it. However when washing before the first use, the pewter fell off the glass.Shame.

Would have preferred one that stays together
Bought as an Xmas gift. Has been used twice and the metal has came off. For £30 I’d expect something a little more sturdy. It’s only been handwashed! Can’t find anywhere to contact the seller. Won’t be buying again!

Made by the English Pewter Company? Or 'PPS'?
Ordered as a birthday present - expected the 'EPC' mark for English Pewter Company as in all images on the site but for some reason this one says 'PPS'? Appears to be a significant error and doesn't really imply authenticity...
