It does the job pretty good
I totally like this rack. I am below average height, and it took me over 5 years to finally find a rack I could fit in my low -sitting saddle. It's easy but tricky to assemble, but it is impossible to do so with the Allen key and a 10mm spanner that come in the package.. they'r absolutely useless!!!, I wasted 2 hours of my time fighting with them and they would just not get grip on the bolts. This is what I would have done different: 1) Open the box, 2) find the Allen key and snapper, 3) Trash them, 4) get my own set of tools. 4) Fit the rack in less than 15 min.

That'll do rack, that'll do!
Fairly strong and lightweight, I tightened all the screw fixings as firmly as I could - there's a bit of sideways flex when I grip the top rack but it always springs back into position which I reckon is a good trait to have especially because I fitted it to my urban commuter cyclocross bike with no suspension.I collected it from the Doddle kiosk in my local Morrisons and fitted it in the street (took me ages because I'm all thumbs) a spanner & Allen key is provided. The instructions are clear, I reckon a fairly competent d.i.y. person would have no problems fixing it to their bike.On the bike it feels no different when unladen or with light loads - my Ortlieb panniers fit the rack perfectly, the vertical arms and the handy side guards do an excellent job of keeping the bags from the spokes and chain.I did a fairly heavy shopping trip: two small bags of potatoes, six tins of sardines, four tins of tuna, a six pint bottle of milk, fifteen eggs, a bag of sugar, carrots + other lighter items stuffed into three pannier bags. Two on the sides, one on the top - the rack was just as strong as any other rack I've used + it comes with a free bungee cord as well!I reckon definitely worth the money, I was looking at one similar in a bargain department store - top rack only, no vertical stabilization rods or sideguards - only the seatpost clamp to hold it in position. It simply wouldn't have been strong enough plus the quick release lever on the seatpost clamp would make it really easy for an opportunistic thief to nick it. It was reduced to £12, I'm glad I didn't buy it now.In a nutshell, it'll withstand heavy loads while not weighing down your bike or getting in your way.

Not up to 50Kg - but very light!
I used this pannier rack to hold two 15 litre pannier bags weighing no more than 30KG total. This was for a 4 day cycle trip along the Trans Pennine trail. This is a largley tarmacked route, so generally quite smooth. This was the first time I used the rack. Assembly was not difficult, the included tools are up to the job but I used a ratcheting torque wrench to speed things up a bit. I tightened the fittings to 5Nm. 5Nm is what I would generally torque all fittings to on my bike as it is unlikely to damage components, yet will hold quite well. The rack worked well until my final day, where the brackets for the lower pannier bag clips snapped off from the upper frame - picture to follow. This occurred first on the right hand side and later on the left hand side. Both times I managed to temporarily fix it to last me until the end of the ride. I didn't really expect it to hold up as well as it did for £17.00, 400KM later I'm happy with my initial purchase. I will be buying a more premium replacement. In short it couldn't stand 4 days of cycling with a total weight of 30Kg on the rack. Not bad for the price, light and easy to assemble.

A Robust Elegant Solution
I was led to believe 2 things by the negative reviews of this rack. 1, it would be really difficult to assemble and 2 would be flimsy. No need to worry on either count. It's simplicity itself to put together, the supplied tools are perfectly adequate for the job. If you need instructions to work out what goes where it probably isn't safe for you to be riding a bike in the first place. The rack itself is solid, well made and very rigid once all the bolts are tightened.I have a bike with no fixing points for a pannier rack and was about to fork out best part of a tenner for a seat post clamp with threaded holes to receive a standard rack fixing. For just a few more earth pounds I have the perfect and complete solution. It will fit just about any bike. If there is a bike it won't fit I have never seen it.

Beautiful, heavy, a b***h to assemble
PROSThis rack looks beautiful. The way it is designed is appealing on any bike.Quality. Sturdy. No worries about it coming off due to the amount of support it has.CONSHeavy. This adds a significant amount of weight to your bike, so if you're planning on going on races with it it's a no go.A B***H TO ASSEMBLE. There are so many parts that can move (so it can fit a variety of bikes), and the result of that is a lot of effort needs to go into assembling them. I would recommend having a friend over to help assemble it, as it took me 45 minutes alone.

Great for the price!
It’s fairly light and easy to assemble although it didn’t come with fitting instructions. It’s easy to adjust although a bit long winded. The reflector at the back is not held to well the bracket that holds it moves from side to side though not too much of a problem. I only have a small bag that I carry on it and don’t have a lot of weight on it but I’m sure it’s capable of carrying the weight stated.Overall a great pannier for the price and I imagine it will last a long time.

Nice product
Item arrived as described. Took a little time for assembly, I used my own tools as it would have taken me much longer to assemble had I used the supplied tools On the bike the pannier is neat and sturdy.

Pathetic DIY instructions but decent enough rack once fitted
Other buyers have warned about the instructions (which need to be downloaded). They are quite pathetic but it didn’t take too long to work out what went where and what order to do things. Seems sturdy enough and fits well. Haven’t had a chance to put panniers on yet but no reason to think it won’t work just fine.
