The battery has functioned, at least thus far, and fits.The large problem here is the problematic placement of the battery by HP which is situated in such a manner that only those more facile in opening electronics will find it feasible to change out without damaging the computer wiring's connecting ribbons. That however, is not a fault of the battery's making.
