Product description Where does the fabulous taste from Nuri come from? The quality of the fish and the ingredients are simply unique. At Nuri only the freshest fish have ever been used. The fish are exclusively caught in small 30m long boats at 4 in the morning so that they can arrive fresh in the factory the same day. Just after the noon the fish are fully packaged. Freezing the fish is out of the question at Nuri. Only the best olive oil and carefully chosen spices are used to enhance the flavour of the fish. The skin and bones are left in the fish too. The skin protects the meat so that it stays tender and the bones are so delicate that they can be eaten along with your dish without problem. Nuri sardines are available in three different flavours: natural olive oil, spicy tomato sauce, and spicy olive oil. In the two spicy varieties you can always find cucumber slices, carrot slices, piri-piri pepper, bay leaf, cloves, and peppercorns. In the other variety you will only find natural olive oil. All three varieties can be enjoyed directly from the can, with a piece of bread, or with homemade hot or cold dishes with Nuri as the secret ingredient. The factory where every Nuri fish is prepared is located Matosinhos, a neighboring town to Porto. The business has traditionally been operated by the Pinhal family and the Fábrica de Conservas Pinhais & C.ª Lda, is one of the few fish factories still operated in Matosinhos.
