Well packed, quick (not super quick) shipping, and this bean paste smells great! It’s really salty but surprisingly when I looked at other brands I saw some with 6X the amount of salt!This also wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be either, which was a good thing for my wife, but I was secretly hoping to make it too spicy for her so she wouldn’t eat all my chicken!!!

The red chili oil was very, very spicy to the point of discomfort. Best to purchase plain without red chile oil and add shakes of dried crushed red chili pepper to your own taste. Dried crushed red chili pepper can be purchased at any grocery store.

Used it to make mapo tofu. It turned out great!
