Top device for the price: very good picture quality, easy operation and handling, very good price
I know my friend purchased similar device with $400 last year, now I purchase this one only under $300. I very happy with this device after test more than10 Super 8 movies. I can only recommend this device for this price, the image quality is very good, if desired, some optimizations can be made. I had used different manufacturers of the Super 8 films at that time, here you can clearly see the difference in quality, but you can see it on the screen too, here the device cannot work miracles. Ease of use and handling, after two movies that works smoothly. It takes time for the device to record a movie, but that's very clear, as each frame will take a picture. For me that is absolutely no problem, I put the part in the corner and come back after 1-2h. For me it came after a number of films to quit / whistle on the right wheel, which rewinds the film, but this was due to the Kunsstoffhülse or slip clutch. Just finish some silicone syrup / silicone oil - (better not a normal lubricating oil, which might attack the plastic).Top device for the price, very good picture quality, easy operation and handling, very good price.

Horrible - Cheaply Made - Do Not Recommend
Product seems very cheaply made and did not properly feed 8mm film. I attempted to even manually progress film but would not work. Overall for the price I was able to get 29 films of 8mm transferred through a professional service. There are not many products available on the market the way this device works but very poorly made. The sticker for the buttons was even coming off from the first time pressing the control buttons. Would highly not recommend this product to convert old films.

Not the best
It was hard to set the film in the system to get a full screen without jumping.

Works fairly well
Works for it's intended purpose but but much for tips or tricks to make sure everything is lined up correctly in the manual. My unit did not have two reels so some of the old ones my movies on had flexed or warped causing it to pull threw to fast.

Pretty amazing
I have only had this the Digitizer Machine for a few days, but so far it has exceeded my wildest dreams. I have a box of old family tapes that were made by my father more than 40 years ago and we were afraid we were going to lose them. Wee contacted one of those digitizing services but they quoted a price in the $1,000s! I'm not much of a tech buff, but I got my first few tries to work and can now surprise the rest of the family with some unexpected Christmas videos. Easy to use, excellent quality though I suppose I'll need some kind of editing software to clean up some of the aging. I'll try to update this post after I digitize the whole box of old films.

Terrible
Unit was the worst. Film skipped making images jittery - other times it would jam. Then the electronics failed. I'd be 3/4 though a movie and it would lock up. i'd have to power down and start over. I returned and bought a Wolverine for $100 more and it is 1000 times better. I would avoid this product. Cheap and far to expensive for what you get.

Fantastic product!
It was easy to use and had very good quality. I am transferring 8mm movies that my dad took from 1952 to 1968. I can't believe the quality of the movies when transferred.

It works great for the money
The movie maker film scanner works great. I have had a lot of success with converting at least 50 year old 8 mm film to digital. I am glad I spent the extra money on this scanner because it can take larger reels. I use a old projector to rewind the film rather than turning it around on the scanner because it doesn't have a reverse. If it had it a revers of its own it would be much better. For the money it is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone. My family is going nuts over the old films that I send to them on the internet and now they are safe forever.
