Most complete kit I have reviewed
While this PSA Ops Gear Hiking and Outdoor Adventures First Aid Kit - Deluxe is not the largest first aid kit I have reviwed, nor does it have the most stuff, it is far and away the most complete.I will review a large "comprehensive" first aid kit and suggest "I would add some Quik-Clot or similar emergency clotting agent to quickly stop heavy bleeding"- but this kit actually has- wonders of wonders-"AllaQuix High Performance Stop Bleeding Gauze is a professional-grade hemostat (“blood stopper”). This is a patented, high-tech gauze pad made of chitosan. Chitosan has been used by medical professionals and the US Military to stop bleeding fast. AllaQuix High Performance is specifically designed to control bleeding, even for people who normally have trouble stopping bleeding." Fantastic! I saved a child's life with some clotting agent once, so it is very important. Not that having TWO wouldn't be.....oh well. And this kit has triple antibiotic ointment, camo wrap for a sprained ankle or whatever, a whistle, some bug repellent, and a little multi-tool. Thus making this almost a survival kit- add something to start fires and a little flashlight and this small kit will easily fit both needs.Small enough to clip on a belt or a day pack or even stuff into some larger cargo pockets. This means you won't leave it behind like you might a larger kit. Keep a bigger kit at camp or home or wherever to refill this handy smaller kit from.

The meds, camo bandage, tape, poncho, scissors, were missing from both that I ordered. I sent both back.

Nice Basic Kit
I got this for my son for his camping trips with Scouts. Scouts requires that each Scout have an emergency kit in their backpack each time they do a camp out. I looked at multiple kits because I needed one that was small and lightweight because my son is young and I try to make his backpack as light as possible. This was exactly what I had been looking for; I got the clip in carry version which was perfect. It had all the essentials: bandages, Band-Aids, wound cleaning supplies, antiseptic and many other things. it works perfectly for our needs. I was very happy with this purchase.

Nice case but be aware...
Review of the PSA Ops Gear Hiking and Outdoor Adventures First Aid Kit - Deluxe:I am critical of certain things, especially products designed for any emergency situation for either a small cut or something worse. As purely a reviewer of the product I look at not just the contents or how well it's made but also if its worth it.This kit has the potential to be a good emergency kit and by good I mean simple things, small cuts, basically little things that my occur during hike. I don't see much here to say it would save a life.It comes in a fairly decent cast which has a handle, a belt loop and side hooks to attach to a shoulder harness. The multi-tool and tweezers are a good addition although made of low gauge metal so in a situation where one might use these tools, then be ready for frustration when parts of the metal start to bend and become mis-shaped. The tools built into the handles of the multi-tool are very hard to get out including the knife and sharp tools. I ended up using the back of the tweezers to push the sharp tools out of the handle, otherwise I might have cut my fingers and then needed a first aid kit.Its basically for if you get stuck somewhere and are in need of minor things. The biggest thing I didn't like was either having expired or soon to expire products in there. This is a critical point where some cheaper medications and ointments have a shelf life of their expiration date or sooner compared to more well known brands that maybe good for a year past their date. I received a sunscreen lotion that expired 5 months prior. Another item that expired 2 months ago and most of the other contents will expire in 1-3 months with 1 product having the longest expiration date of October or next year. Still not the best odds especially if your shelling out 30+ bucks on this kit. Again the case is pretty decent but there's better things out there with more quality goods that aren't expired or will be in a couple months. The majority of products here can be picked up at the dollar store and the truth is a better first aid kit can be made diy for cheaper. Some of the products can be useful but overall the price doesn't reflect what your getting. I would strongly recommend to keep shopping.

Good starting pointThisni
This is a very compact first aid kit.The pouch it comes in is actually one of the best I have seen quality nylon, solid zipper, massive carry handle, 2 D-rings and a Velcro strap for attachment to a belt loop or a Molle system. This much alone is probably worth half the price of the pack. The first aid pack contains most of the most common and used components. Given the small size of he pack, you'll need to be aware that the number of items per category is very limited (as clearly communicated on the list of contents). The size of the individual items is also very small (gauze pads 2*2, hemostat even smaller than that). To differentiate itself from similar first aid pads, a number of practical items are included:- the "stop bleeding gauze" (hemostat). Just be aware that this is a very small pad- Tick removal tool. Great idea!- Elastic Tape- A little multi tool. Kinda cute and might be helpfulOverall a great starter first aid kit for excursions not too far from real help.Needs some items added if you move a bit further of the beaten track or fear of dealing with larger injuries - but then nearly all packs do..

Great for my side bags on my recumbent trike!
Perfect size for my side bag on my recumbent trike, but really it would fit even in the smallest of bags. I really think this is a fantastic medpac for hiking or riding or even to have with you when traveling. This is a comprehensive pack, but I will say it would benefit from a couple of quick clot packets, but really, where do you cut off as to inclusions?Very tough to know.... I like the pack and the contents very much!
