REALLY GREAT SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM!
This is one of my EASIEST 5-star reviews. This is a GREAT product, and no I don't own stock in Eufy.I wanted to replace my old DVR-based wired system with a more modern system of wireless video cams. I looked at other brands, and based on the YouTube vid's I watched, the Eufy S340 seemed to do it all. So, I bought the starter pack (2 cams and a Homebase) to try out, and it did everything that Eufy claimed, and more. On that basis I bought 5 more cameras and have not been disappointed. I'm not going to rehash all of the S340's features. I suggest that you watch any of the YouTube videos about this product. I will only list the features that wildly exceeded my expectations, along with some installation tips:1. Customer Service. One of my 7 cams worked perfectly except that the battery wouldn't fully charge to 100%. It only charged up to 44%, but that was still more than enough power for it to function perfectly. But I wasn't happy with what was likely a battery that had been on a warehouse shelf a bit too long, so I called Eufy product support. *Before* I was off the phone with them, they had a replacement on its way to me, without first having confirmed that I had shipped the old one back. THAT is what I call exceptional CSX.2. Installation wizard. The installation process is via an automated wizard that's activated by your mobile phone's Eufy app, and it's terrific. It walks you thru every step of the installation, and I've never had a problem installing a cam. It's a brilliantly designed piece of software that even takes you thru updating the camera firmware to the latest version.3. Solar panel mounting tips. On my eaves, my concrete roof tiles extend over the edge of the fascia board by a couple of inches. This can make it difficult to install the camera with the solar panel attached directly to the top of the cam. Also, some locations don't get enough direct sunlight. So, I mounted the solar panels in some locations 5 or 6 feet away from the camera and I used these really great stand-offs for the solar panels:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKGCFNTD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsThese are great, too, but don't provide as much of a stand-off distance:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RNHSMCL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I used both of these in various locations, depending on how much stand-off distance I needed. They are great products. When you install the solar panel in a different location than the camera, you'll be using the provided extension cable that's about 10 feet long. I wanted to keep this installation neat and professional looking, so I used these cable clips to fasten the cable to the inside of the eaves fascia board:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RMNPCYN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=14. Eufy app. The downloadable app is amazingly complete. It has more panels and info on it than I've seen in other more sophisticated products (like my Generac standby generator). You can setup camera sensitivity, AI tracking, sound, video quality, and on and on. I have one camera focused on my fishpond and I've set it to a slightly higher sensitivity than the other cams, and I've told it to recognize animals. It almost always records a huge great horned owl in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping, and it's going for a drink of water. I've also set that same camera to trigger the built-in siren and strobe light if it sees anything that's coyote-sized trying to catch my goldfish or koi.5. Panning and close-ups. You can pan the cameras while you're viewing them remotely, and you can do a closeup using a finger drag on your screen, or you can switch to the 3x lens for an even more detailed close-up. All of these features work flawlessly and in real time. What a great thing to have when you're on vacation!6. Serious security. I've used the configurable "Automation" capability to "knit" my cameras together into an automated system that will set off alarms under circumstances that I've defined. For instance, I've set my system to behave normally from 6a to midnight. During that time, if any camera detects movement (definable by camera), the system records the event and stores it. BUT AFTER MIDNIGHT and before 6a, if it detects humans or cars on my driveway, all hell breaks loose. That means that those triggered cameras flash a strobe, sound a siren, and send me an alert that wakes me up. In such a case, I could bring that camera up on the screen, and I could turn off the siren and yell at the unwanted visitor(s) through the built-in loudspeaker.7. Camera wireless range. I noticed that it took a while to access my farthest cameras using the Eufy app. They were attached in a location on the eaves outside my garage doors. I simply installed an additional eero Wi-Fi Extender in the garage, and that solved the problem. I already had an eero router and other eero extenders in order to provide better performance for my other network devices around my large-ish house, so I just needed an additional extender.---------------------------------------------------------------There's really nothing about these cameras or the system software that I don't like. I can't address reliability because I've only had them in for a few months now, but so far, so good. I can't recommend this system highly enough.BTW, all my cams are connected to my Eufy Homebase S380, which is a separate product, and which you should buy with your first camera purchase. It's $149 by itself, but Eufy has a pkg that includes two cams and a Homebase for a substantial discount. Here's the link:https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Security-HomeBase-Surveillance-Compatible/dp/B0CMZ9KZN3/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3JWL8NKQOPU5M&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zSPwp8NHBviZ2jQKmGizvrKQYYyc7-jFS5m8-vCxzLMO8rwSPUEXQi5D9d16LltS-hnIjt5EWJ0MqeVzGP2Uda7NIgxb5jJ3GvxgqKiFKo4XdHAmEqKRmCIHomwGGT-HoagY3dfvlEU_GxbXxSfahy5GW1YH85oYtlhptnVkqJBXlQpZ3i0X0x7pkRaw4UtmATllAQ3-T79ipFKhqveagq5SuOAl9zCi5Ox-TLPvnfY.Oz6nsX3a9O6kiBjlGv2Qs6S4mm2NXxIM9bCG2f9PHCQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=s340&qid=1723432884&sprefix=s340%2Caps%2C175&sr=8-5In the pictures that I attached, the first one shows a short stand-off. I needed to use it because the camera is actually mounted under an awning in the shade, and there was more than enough room for a short stand-off. The second picture shows a long stand-off. I needed to use a longer one in order to clear the roof tiles and to get a good view of the sun.

Love This Camera!!
I needed a security camera that would have a view of my driveway as well as my property. This Eufy camera fits the bill. They give you everything you need to set up the camera. You have a choice of mounting the solar panel separately or on top of the camera. I chose to mount it on top of the camera. The set up to the internet was quick and flawless. As per the instructions I fully charged the camera before it was mounted. I purchased a metal ring that tightens with a screw and was able to weave it through the plastic mount provided. I had to mount the camera on a 2x4 that was there from my previous camera. It mounted with ease. The camera lets you know when a vehicle or person enters your property. It follows you as you go past. It records the events and notifies you when it detects something. The camera can be adjusted to your specific needs. The camera also lets you know that it is fully charged so you know the solar panel is working. The night vision is clear and concise. The microphone is sensitive enough to pick up bird and bug sounds. It is easy to remove by pinching the side clips together. I am pleased with this purchase. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it. I highly recommend this camera for ease of use and quality. It is an economical way to secure your property and give you peace of mind.

Great Camera, Don't Mount Too High
This is definitely a great camera for the money, with no subscription fees. It's used with the Eufy Homebase 3 for AI tracking of people, cars, and animals.I noticed that, in the beginning, the camera wasn't recording what I wanted it to. I figured out that when it does record, there's a small area that asks if it was a person, or a vehicle, ect... As I confirmed these recordings to it, it got better and better at picking up people and vehicles in the coverage area.It also helps to set your coverage area with the camera. I live on a busy street. So I didn't want the road or sidewalk recorded constantly. My coverage area starts maybe 5ft up my driveway and across the front lawn. This feature works great. Because the camera can see the road, but won't record the traffic. One thing I want to be clear on... The camera doesn't have sensors on its sides. Meaning, if there's motion to the left or right, the camera will not pan over and start recording. Instead, the camera only records what it's aimed at, and THEN can follow a moving target by panning left or right. It would be great if it had sensors on the sides, but it won't know something is there if it's not in its view. And you can set the camera's default position if you want it aimed to the side. One other thing... I would NOT mount this camera higher than a 1st story gutter. The higher you mount it, the less range it has. Even though you can see a vast range through the camera feed, it cannot. Roughly, I'd say it has a range of 30 ft at 10ft up. The higher you go, the less distance the camera will cover on the ground. So keep expectations reasonable.Overall... Great camera. Definitely recommended if you want something placed centrally on your house.

Excellent security camera
Excellent security camera. Great video quality even at night with or without built in light. Very easy to set up and install. I love the pan and zoom capabilities and ability to get alerts for motion detection. I bought the gutter mount to get it high and not needing to drill holes in my siding. A nice addition to my wired system.
