It works!
Just installed one of these yesterday in my double steel walled garage. It works as advertised.I had tried another cheep solution first and got nowhere. My garage is approx. 50 yards from my Starlink router in the house and the router signal couldn't penetrate my garage walls. I mounted the USB antenna on the outside of my building, and the supplied repeater router inside the garage. Followed the setup instructions (printed and included in the box) to the letter using a smart phone and was streaming the game in the garage in 10 minutes. If you have a steel walled out building that needs WiFi from your house router this will work. A speed test revealed almost 20Mbps. Wouldn't recommend for gaming but for watching TV online it is working flawlessly.

wifi distance
This item when it works is very nice. It states 300Feet. I am 50 Feet from main router, and get a signal of about 10%. I get a better signal with laptop. CC Vector looses the signal often, and can not find the signal without restarting the device. Which brings up the next item. CC Vector once power is reset looses all settings you have placed in the device. you have to set it up again. Most times you have to reset the device by pushing button on the back before it finds any wifi signal on a scan, yet laptop, and phone finds the signals. When I get CC Vector closer to router it seems to work fine, yet is looses the signal even after placing amplifier from CC Vector on antenna. If my 30 days were not up I would return it to Amazon. I will attempt to return it to Crane. Maybe this will work if you are in same house, I bought this to get a signal in my shop, 50 feet away from main house.

Wi-Fi strength much better
Purchase this Wi-Fi repeater for our campsite and after several attempts to set it up and connect to the Wi-Fi, it finally works really well. We have a strong Wi-Fi signal on our campsite and even though we turn off our power at the campsite often the system boots right back up Again

Worked perfect… Update!
I wanted WiFi in my shop when all the doors were closed. I get good signal to the shop, just not when inside and doors closed. This was super easy setup and simple. Did it allOff and iPhone. Install and setup in a hour. Now I have WiFi in my shop just like I was siting in the house! Great product. So far no complaints.Updated… lasted a month and quit working. Will Not connect to WiFi anymore. Disappointed. Especially considering the money spent on this product.Customer service was great. I found out from them that this product cannot tolerate temperature fluctuations(cold/hot). Which i. Cang find mentioned on product description. For example, a building can not have a large swing and likely must maintain 60-75 degrees. I’m guessing anyway. They did not hesitate to provide a refund, But I am out 14 dollars on shipping to return. Now it’s time to start the hardwire Ethernet cable project like I should have anyway. And this project will be 100 cheaper. And way more reliable. Hope y’all find this helpful.

Fairly easy to install and works great for me.
I had my reservations about this item and halfway figured I would end up having to return it. It ended up working like a champ. I am very happy with this item.I wanted to have wifi access in my shop building which is a large metal building. I ended up mounting the antenna about 10 feet high on exterior of the building about 60 feet from my home where the signal comes from. I ran the cord through the exterior wall of the shop and have the base unit sitting about 6' high on top of a bookshelf inside my shop.I just followed the instructions, although I ended up using a laptop computer to perform the installation as I had problems using the iphone to do the setup. I now have a great full bar wifi signal in my shop and can stream music, etc.I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Great product for me.

Solved WiFi issues in metal building.
Install was a breeze, instructions were great. Needed this on a metal shop next to my house, home WiFi would not cut it out here at all. I added antenna to outside of building 20’ from house and I am not streaming movies out here. This is day one, will update review if anything changes. But so far so great!**didn’t make 1 day. Lost power, it will not save your WiFi password and have to go through setup again. 3 stars.

WiFi where you have weak signal strength
I have an all metal shop but my house WiFi signal could not penetrate the walls because the shop is acting as a faraday cage. So I bought this to bring the signal inside to my shop! Works excellent, all I had to do was run the antenna outside by drilling a small 1/2” size hole into the wall of the shop! Works great!

Have another way to mount the exterior receiving antenna... suction cups no bueno.
Well.... after the suction cups failed and the antenna fell off of the window and then my dog ate it, I'm now searching for a replacement for the antenna as well as a way to mount it permanently. It does work fine for jumping an obstacle, such as getting wifi inside of a metal building from the house which was my purpose. It's not very fast, streaming music is about the limit, movies and videos are a no-go for mine anyhow. Makes my phone functional at least inside the building with the doors shut, but functional is about it, not really good for much but texts and music.... good enough, but $200??? Could have included a little bracket of some sort for the antenna at that price.
